ENVIRONMENT

Responsibility for the environment

The sustainability of our products governs equally our production processes as well as the handling of the materials, energy and waste. We want to take over the responsibility not only for our employees, but also for our common environment.

This is also to be understood under “Made in Germany” quality. In order to achieve our self-set environment relevant goal – although without our own Environment certification – we have implemented an integrated management on the basis of DIN EN ISO 14001.

    Furthermore, it is our aim to safeguard that all the arising production sewage and emissions will be held low. We also want to secure that the consumption of water, gas and electricity will be monitored in such a way that the consumption will be kept as low as possible. 


     

    Waste

    The waste material on the individual workplaces is being collected separately and generally assorted according to the production process. It is being disposed and recycled (separation of chips, paper, foils, lubricants, oil, petrol)


    The disposal of this waste is being conducted through the disposal company that has been chosen in the procurement process. The hand-over protocols received upon waste pick-up have to be forwarded to the procurement in order to be controlled afterwards. After the invoices have been sent in, the controlor will compare the settled amount from the invoice and forward the disposal proof with the protocols and the invoice to be archived. Basically, we are trying to avoid waste for disposal and are trying to find the recycling ways. Our transport and outer packagings are made of reusable materials or recyclable substances. 


    Oily cloths are being stored in a special containers and exchanged via MEWA-Service. 


    Any arisen metal-& plastic chips will be single-origin stored in available and closed containers until collected. 

     


    Water & Sewage

    As for water, we only use water made available for us by the town of Gauting. 


    In our company we strictly use ground water suitable lubricants. Furthermore, the oil-water emulsions are being separated in the company. This secures that any exceedances are excluded. All of the production substances are being stored in separate and closed room. While the continuous platform of the collection tray complies with legal regulations. 


    And also, our production site is not located in any listed water protection area.


     

    Emissions 

    > Noise emissions are being tested by noise measurements, in order to prevent any noise related damages to our employees and neighbours. Furthermore, there is a hearing protection available for our employees everywhere. 

    > Germany is a leading power in environment protection worldwide as it strives to minimize the carbon emissions. Therefore, it is also applicable here that we are bound to “save” as much as we can.    

    > Germany supports the keeping clean of air and water by means of the most progressive legislation worldwide. Here, we use for example: exclusively biologic acceptable recyclable drilling water additives that are being filtered in house and can be reused over a long cycle. 


    Electricity

    Similarly, as with water and gas, the electricity consumption is being measured using meters and the consumption is being logged. We are trying to do our job with the help of electricity saving devices, e.g. energy saving lamps. 

     

     

    Influence of our component production on the environment

    The influence on the environment caused by the production of our components is being controlled on yearly basis. Additionally the following is being assessed too: 

    > Newly procured production devices will be documented and tested if they pose any environment risk. 

    > Current production devices are being tested regarding their environmental compatibility. 


     

     

    Environment awareness of our employees

    > We guarantee human working conditions and optimum working protection, which is being constantly tested by means of risk assessment. 

    > The environment awareness of the employees is being requested and encouraged by means of regular trainings.

We have faith in social responsibility: That´s what we live on daily basis. And that´s what we prove on long term.

By respecting those who work with us and by overtaking responsibility for them, we have brought DIETL ACADEMY to life.

Growing requirement demands well thought ways, in order to achieve long term company success and to secure the experts for the company. 


That is why we have come up with a systematic initial training programme called “Kurzausbildung” (short training) that provides even trainings regarding other departments. This is how we secure that or idea of quality is being shared in all the company departments.


The spectrum of trainings is being complemented with regular forward and further education programmes. 

Participating from the word go: 


We offer possibilities for the university and technical college students to do their compulsory internships with us. That´s how they will connect studies with the professional practice and receive priceless insights in the precise engineering spectrum. 

During our regular ASA-sessions we consult our work safety and evacuation specialists as well as our first aid helpers together with the company doctor and discuss current topics.


The risk assessment is therefore being lived and is a basis of primary care for our employees in all the aspects.
