CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Our environment

is dear to our heart

  • Resource conservation through DIETL-measures

The sustainability of our products equally determines our production processes and the way we handle materials, energy, and waste. We want to take responsibility not only for our employees, but also for our shared environment.

  • Compliance with DIN EN ISO 14001 specifications

In order to fulfil the environmental goals we have set ourselves, we have established an integrated management system based on the requirements of DIN EN ISO 14001 - even without our own environmental certification.

We and our suppliers adhere to the specifications of:

    •    REACH – Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006

    •    RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU

    •    Compliance with ElektroG /WEEE

  • Waste separation and disposal

Waste material is collected separately at the individual workstations and generally sorted, disposed of and recycled directly after the production process (separation of chips, paper, film, lubricants, oil, petrol).

This waste is then disposed of by disposal companies selected by procurement. The take-over notes received when this waste is collected must be submitted to procurement for subsequent invoice verification. After receipt of the invoice, procurement checks the quantities invoiced on the basis of the receipts and submits the disposal certificates with the take-over notes and the invoice for archiving. As a matter of principle, we try to avoid waste for disposal and look for ways to recycle it. Our transport and outer packaging is made of reusable materials or recyclable substances.

Oil rags are collected in special sealed containers and replaced by MEWA Service.

All metal and plastic shavings are sorted and collected in sealed containers until their pick-up.

  • Regulated water and wastewater treatment

The water used is exclusively water provided to us by the town of Gauting.

Our company always uses lubricants that are suitable for groundwater. Furthermore, oil-water emulsions are separated in the company if necessary. This ensures that any excess can be ruled out.

All operating materials are stored in a separate and locked room. The continuous floor corresponds to a drip tray that complies with legal regulations.

Furthermore, we are not located in a specified water protection area.

  • Reducing our emissions

    • We check noise emissions with noise measurements so as not to cause any noise damage to employees or neighbors. Furthermore, hearing protection is available for employees everywhere.
    • Germany is a global leader in climate protection – and we are doing our part to support the sustainable reduction of greenhouse gases: By using energy-efficient machinery, relying on green electricity, and continuously optimizing our processes, we are measurably reducing our CO₂ emissions.
  • Reduction of power consumption

Similar to water and gas, electricity consumption is recorded using meters and consumption data. We are committed to using only energy-efficient devices, such as energy-saving light bulbs, to minimize our electricity consumption.

  • Targeted investments in modern production equipment

Our strategies aim to minimize the consumption of natural resources, reduce pollutant emissions, and lessen the environmental impact of our production processes.

    • Energy-efficient machinery: Investments in equipment and machinery that consume less energy and thereby reduce CO₂ emissions.
    • Transition to renewable energy: Starting in 2026 at our new site, we will increasingly rely on sustainable energy sources such as solar and geothermal power to lower production-related energy consumption and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.
    • Recycling and circular economy: Implementation of internal systems for recycling waste materials and adapting our processes to a circular production model aimed at minimizing waste and recovering raw materials efficiently.
    • Digital technologies and automation: Increased use of digital solutions and automated processes enhances efficiency in both production and administration while reducing energy and resource consumption.
    • Environmental certifications and standards: We are investing in compliance with environmental regulations and pursuing recognized sustainability certifications to improve our environmental performance and strengthen our company’s image.

These investments help minimize the environmental impact of production while achieving long-term cost savings through increased efficiency.

  • Environmental awareness of our employees

    • We guarantee fair working conditions and optimum occupational health and safety by carrying out regular risk analyses to ensure continuous safety in the workplace.
    • Employees' environmental awareness is encouraged and promoted in their daily working environment and through regular training.

PEOPLE AND COMPANY

DIETL is involved in many ways

As part of society, we also take responsibility in social areas. After all, our company is only as good as its employees.

This is why the DIETL Academy was created, which focuses on the entire DIETL team and what they need: onboarding measures, modern and flexible working conditions, extensive training opportunities and a familiar, appreciative and motivating working environment.

Onboarding measures & extensive qualification programmes

Our structured onboarding programme, known as ‘short training’, also includes training in various departments. This ensures that our quality standards are anchored in all areas of the company. In addition, regular further and advanced training is offered to round off our portfolio.

Optimization of the working environment & attractive benefits

Through regular Health and Safety Committee meetings, we guarantee comprehensive basic care for our employees in all matters relating to occupational health and safety. We also offer a wide range of additional benefits. Our team is the heart of our company and we show our appreciation through individual salary packages and a sincere ‘thank you’, among other things.

Internship

for students and student trainees

Right from the start of their studies, we offer students from universities and universities of applied sciences the opportunity to complete their compulsory internships with us. In this way, they combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience and gain valuable insights into all facets of precision engineering.
