DIETL - growing

through tradition

1909

Georg Dietl Senior, a trained watchmaker, founds the family business DIETL Feinmechanik in Gauting. Today's office building was the home and workshop of the founding family.

1938

The two sons Georg and Karl Dietl followed in their father's footsteps and took over the company after completing their master craftsman's studies in precision engineering.

Post-war years

An order to produce telephone gearboxes for Siemens was the reason for the first steps towards automation. Little by little, the small family business developed into a precision engineering company. An extension to the founder's villa was necessary.

1952

In the post-war period, the company expanded steadily, so that a new production hall of approx. 1,000 m² had to be built. The acquisition of new machines for almost all precision engineering areas laid the foundations for independent mechanical production.

1988

Sons Helmuth and Klaus Dietl take over the management after the death of their father.

1995

Helmuth Dietl takes over the sole management of the company after the death of Klaus Dietl. The continuation of the structure that has existed since the company was founded - the entire production area of precision engineering such as bar turning, grinding, honing, milling, etc. - is maintained and further expanded.

2000

The course is set for the next generation change: the two daughters Sabine Stadler and Heidrun Dietl join the company.

2009

100-Year Anniversary of DIETL

2019

Volker Mackert joins the family business as an internationally experienced managing director. His task is to implement the defined strategy for the further development and in order to secure the future of the company in a holistic and sustainable manner.

Establishment of the additional production facility in Gauting and gradual implementation of further automation and networking.

2020 -

2024

The Dietl family's decision to expand the position of the company strategically and technologically in order to strengthen its presence on the market has strengthened its resolve to drive forward the company's development through systematic investment in technology, IT and specialized personnel. Numerous measures have already been implemented in recent years and this course will be continued.

An essential aspect of this strategic direction is the clear message that DIETL will remain a family-run company. This commitment not only reflects the company's values and traditions, but also emphasizes the family's long-term commitment to the positive development of the company.

2025
