DIETL Feinmechanik GmbH & Co. KG is an internationally active production facility covering the field of precision engineering. Our company produces single workpieces as well as batches, including all the activities as automated turning, honing, grinding, milling etc., while focusing mainly on gearing of small modules.

 

We are fully aware of our responsibility towards our customers, employees and organizations in which we take part. We have therefore compiled strict ethic principles that we are going to adhere to when doing our business.

 

We expect our suppliers as well as all the companies being in business with DIETL Feinmechanik to rule their actions by the same ethical principles. That is why DIETL Feinmechanik has drafted this Code of Conduct for Suppliers setting the minimum standards for the business relations with DIETL Feinmechanik.

 

 

Laws and ethical principles

The supplier complies with all for his company applicable regulations. The supplier supports the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, UN Universal Declarations of Human Rights as well as 1998 International Labor Organization Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work”) complying with the national laws and customs. This applies mainly to the following:

 

Child Labor

The supplier will not employ any children under legal minimum employment age valid in the given country or applicable in relevant legislation. If no minimum employment age is specified, the supplier won´t employ any children under 15 years of age. The employees under 18 will perform works only in compliance with legal regulations (e.g. regarding working time and conditions) and in compliance with the education and training conditions.

 

Forced Labor

The supplier must never employ forced labor, bonded labor or involuntary work. The work has to be always conducted voluntarily and the employees have to be allowed to have control over their documents (e.g. passport, work permit or other personal legal documents). The supplier will safeguard that the employees don´t pay any fees or payments in order to be employed during the whole recruitment period and employment duration. The supplier is bound to pay any and all compulsory fees and expenses (e.g. licenses and levies) arising in connection with his employees.

 

Punishment, physical or mental force are prohibited. The disciplinary regulations are to be set explicitly and are to be communicated to the employee.

 

Remuneration and working time

The supplier adheres to all valid national laws and binding business standards regarding working time, overtime, wages and salaries as well as regarding employer duties. The supplier remunerates the employees timely and informs the employee comprehensively and explicitly about the basis for such remuneration.

 

The deductions from wages and salaries as disciplinary measures are not allowed, except if legally acceptable.

 

Freedom of assembly and negotiation of rates

The employees and suppliers have to be able to decide freely, without any threats and intimidation to join a trade union or representation of the employees of their choice or not to do so. The supplier recognizes and respects the right to negotiate the rates in the extent of valid legislation.

 

Diversity

The supplier supports a working environment enabling inclusion and cherishing diversity of his employees. The supplier must not discriminate or accept discrimination based on sex, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, and national origin or based on further characteristics protected by law.

 

Health and Safety at Work

We expect our business partners to aspire for implementation of high level health and safety measures at work by using appropriate concept of health and safety management. The supplier complies with the valid work and health protection regulations and safeguards safe and health supportive work environment, so that the health of employees is preserved, third parties are protected and accidents, injuries and occupational diseases are prevented. This includes regular risk assessments of workplaces and implementation of fitting risk preventing and precautionary measures. The employees are to be appropriately educated regarding work protection topics.

 

Data protection and disclosure of information

The supplier adheres to valid data protection and security laws and regulations. This applies mainly to personal data of customers, consumers, employees and shareholders. The supplier complies with all the aforementioned regulations when recording, processing, transferring or using personal data.

 

The suppliers protect confidential information and use these only in appropriate extent. This means that the supplier must not disclose any information that is not publically known.

 

Bribery and corruption

The supplier adheres to all the valid national and international anti-corruption provisions, laws, regulations and standards. He does not offer or pledge any valuables (neither directly nor indirectly) in order to influence official processes illegally or to benefit from the situation illegally to arrange or keep business.

 

Business regulations

The supplier complies with all the valid business and import regulations including sanctions and embargos that apply for his activities.

 

Money laundering and financial records

The supplier complies with all the valid laws and regulations to fight money laundering. The supplier keeps financial records and composes reports in compliance with international laws and regulations.

 

Fair competition

The supplier adheres to valid competition and cartel laws.

 

Conflict of interests

The conflict of interests emerges, if one person has a private / one´s own interest that might influence one´s decisions. Conflicts of interests include kinship or relationship by marriage, partnership, business partnership or investments. The supplier discloses any real or potential conflict of interests to the employees of DIETL Feinmechanik.

 

Environment

The supplier complies with all the valid environment laws, regulations and standards and operates an efficient system capable to identify and tackle potential environmental threats.

 

We expect that our business partners strive to support us with their to be delivered products and services to achieve climate protection goals of DIETL Feinmechanik (e.g. also by provision of relevant data on climate protection). With the meaning of the aforementioned, we expect our suppliers to meet the needs of climate protection in their own production processes e.g. by setting climate protection goals and implementing those accordingly.

 

Business continuity planning

The supplier implements precautionary measures in case of disruptions of his business activities (e.g. natural catastrophes, Terrorism, Software viruses, diseases, pandemic, infection diseases). The precautionary measures include mainly plans for cases of catastrophe, in order to protect the employees and the environment as much as possible from the consequence of eventual catastrophes concerning business activities.

 

Dialog with business partners

The suppliers encourages his own suppliers to adhere to the Code of Conduct for Suppliers to the extent of their performance of contractual obligations.

 

Compliance with the Code of Conduct for Suppliers

DIETL Feinmechanik reserves the right to control the compliance with the provisions of Code of Conduct for Suppliers after reasonable advance notice. DIETL Feinmechanik encourages his suppliers to introduce binding guidelines for ethical conduct.

Any breach of provisions listed in Code of Conduct for Suppliers is understood as substantial contract violation by the supplier.
